We are the worldwide holder of patent rights for a constantly growing range of tilting three-wheelers operated by pedal drive and electric motor-support (pedelec). People, who were never able to learn how to ride a bicycle due to the fear of falling, balancing problems or handicaps, will benefit from this new technology.
Slow riding of a bicycle causes a permanent tilting and counter steering which results in a wavy line. Only at speeds of approx. 20km/h and more are bicyclists able to keep themselves upright.
With Swingtrike, even slow starting and stopping manoeuvres turn into child’s-play
since the movement of the two rear wheel-swingarms is controlled by the position
of the bike’s frame. Furthermore, a strong rubber spring ensures that
an upright position of the tilting three-wheeler is maintained. In this way,
even crossing road and negotiating bumps or curbs can be mastered without
fighting the swaying movements that can also make the riding of standard tricycles
hazardous. And since Swingtrike’s rear wheels also take on a steering
effect when turning corners, a sportive riding experience is created –
comparable to the carving affect during snowboarding.
